Major Williams was born and raised in Dallas, Texas by a single parent and had three siblings. At a very early age, he began to wonder what his legacy would be as an adult. He first thought he would become a pastor and have his church someday when he was 11 years old. Major moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001. He began his work in the Mental Health industry as a youth counselor for the Erikson Mental Health Center in Van Nuys, California. Also, Major was able to acquire more training and experience serving the residents at the Gower Teenage Shelter in Hollywood, California. I launched Major Media Inc., a boutique social media company. The company brokered millions in revenue for clients, fostering relationships with brands all over the country.
Major has been actively contributing to his community and working with various charities over the past 15 years. Most recently, he co-founded Fly Kicks For Kids, a non-profit 501(c)3 that provides sneakers to low-income kids, teenagers in need, and academic achievers.
Currently Major enjoys being the marketing director and co-founder of Eye Heart Art with his wife of 19 years, Aja Guy-Williams. Together they run multiple indie business ventures, one of which called Majorprenuer, which focuses on educating entrepreneurs on how to implement successful strategies and generate passive income.
He also spends time public speaking about entrepreneurship and creative solutions for small business owners.
"Running for Mayor didn't surprise many of my peers. Living in Pasadena, raising my kids and growing our businesses in a city we love simply became a storybook narrative for us. It is time to THINK MAJOR about our future in Pasadena"- Major Williams
