Major Williams was born and raised in Dallas, Texas by a single parent and has 3 siblings. At a very early age he began to wonder what his legacy would be as an adult. He first thought he would become a pastor and have his own church someday when he was 11 years old. Major moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001 . He began his work in the Mental Health industry as a youth counselor for the Erikson Mental Health Center in Van Nuys, California. In addition, Major was able to acquire more training and experience serving the residents at the Gower Teenage Shelter in Hollywood, California. After transitioning from the Gower facility, Major launched Major Media Inc., a boutique social media company that provides creative solutions for political campaigns, local small businesses, influencers, and professional athletes who’re bringing positive changes to their communities. The company brokered millions in revenue for clients, fostering relationships with brands all over the country.
Major has been actively contributing to his community and working with various charities over the past 15 years. Most recently, he co-founded Fly Kicks For Kids, a non-profit 501(c)3 that provides sneakers to low income kids, teenagers in need and academic achievers.
Currently Major enjoys being the marketing director and co-founder of Eye Heart Art with his wife of 19 years, Aja Guy-Williams. Together they run multiple small business ventures one of which called Majorprenuer which focuses on educating entrepreneurs on how to implement successful strategies and generate passive income.
He also spends time public speaking about entrepreneurship and creative solutions for small business owners all across the country.
"Running for Mayor didn't surprise anyone in my circle, many know my heart and my passion to be of service. Living in Pasadena, raising my kids and growing our businesses in a city we love is a storybook narrative for us. But there are many issues I know if I had the opportunity with my experience and fresh new perspective I could produce change that benefits us all. The voices unheard will no longer be mute on my watch as I feel like everyone that wants to be apart of our democratic process and contribute should be included. I offer a 20/20 vision for our city and I pledge to serve and stand for those who want what is best for our city"- Major Williams
