LOCAL PASADENA CANDIDATE MAJOR WILLIAMS
ANNOUNCED HIS INTENT TO RUN FOR MAYOR OF PASADENA
PASADENA, CA — Major Williams, announced today that he will be running for the Mayor of Pasadena in 2020.
“I am a Pasadena resident who loves this city and our community. This is where I have chosen to raise my family and grow my businesses,” said Major Williams. “I value the traditions and rich history of our city, it's diverse culture and I want to make sure our government continues to work for the benefit of the citizens, not for the special interest. I also want to make sure our tax dollars are spent wisely and efficiently.” It's time to elect a candidate with a 20/20 vision for our future.
Major Williams would be the 3rd African American elected Mayor of Pasadena. The first being Loretta Thompson-Glickman (1982-1984) & Chris Holden (1997-1999). Major intends to run for office in 2019 for the 2020 election.
This mayoral campaign in 2020 will outline the beliefs that reflect a progressive Pasadena directly from the perspective of our local residents. As a mayor, I would foster a very innovative approach to working with City Council members. I do not believe in red tape, it is a flawed concept that I believe aligns with corruption and negligence. Small businesses and entrepreneurs working to make a better way for them and their families should not have to be subjected to these outdated procedures. "There is nothing minor about the beautiful city of Pasadena, we are major and the public needs to be represented as such..."
